Our Story

Open Goal Project was founded to address the lack of opportunities for talented youth soccer players from low-income families in Washington, D.C. After integrating several players into the DC travel soccer landscape, the challenges they faced became evident. Recognizing the systemic issues preventing these players from participating, a program was established to create positive change for overlooked youth and the American soccer landscape. With the right resources and support, these players can reach their full potential both on and off the field.

Our Impact

By creating opportunities for young soccer players from underserved communities, Open Goal Project empowers student-athletes to overcome barriers that have traditionally sidelined them. Soccer serves as a vehicle for growth, providing pathways for young men and women to thrive.
