In 2016, Deidre, the visionary founder of Open Gate International, embarked on a transformative journey across various countries. During her travels, she listened to the heart-wrenching stories of survivors of human trafficking and exploitation. Engaging with non-profit organizations and government officials, she uncovered the emotional, social, and economic devastation faced by these individuals. This experience ignited a passion to make a meaningful impact.

Recognizing a critical gap in the support system for survivors, Deidre founded Open Kitchen. The mission is clear: to provide comprehensive support through accredited training programs, life skills development, and job placement services.
