The Open Door Church of God in Christ-Detroit was founded in December 1991 by Pastor Alan Ross Evans Sr. and Missionary Shernetta Evans. Starting with just a few families, the church has grown significantly, moving to larger facilities to accommodate its expanding congregation.
Open Door has successfully served the East Detroit community through various ministries and outreach programs, including clothing and food giveaways, witnessing miraculous healings and deliverances among its members.
