Our Story
Among the vibrant sounds of dishes and drums in local Mexican restaurants, a group of passionate young artists gathered to discuss their dreams of a shared space for creativity. In 2004, the vision materialized when Omar Magaña opened his building, becoming the heart of a grassroots art collective known as Expresiones Artisticas. This collective thrived until a devastating fire in 2008 halted their progress. Today, a new wave of artists, educators, and community leaders are uniting to revive this dream, ensuring that the community is integral to the artistic journey.
