Our Story
In 2019, a young black cat named Onyx faced a life-threatening situation after being mauled by a dog. His owner, unable to afford the emergency surgery needed to save him, turned to Dr. Kris Painter for help. Thanks to the dedication of Dr. Painter and her team, Onyx received the lifesaving care he needed at no cost. Inspired by this experience, The Onyx Project was established to ensure that no pet suffers due to financial constraints.
