Our Story

Onward Neighborhood House has a rich history rooted in the settlement house movement, established over a century ago to assist new immigrants in accessing vital resources and building a supportive community. Today, Onward House continues this mission by offering programs that empower families and individuals to value education, build successful careers, and support their loved ones. While the services and location have evolved, the core mission remains steadfast: to be a resource for the community.

Impacting Lives

Onward House serves over 950 children and families annually, impacting approximately 5,500 individuals through a unique blend of services. Our core programming includes Early Childhood Education, School Age programs, Adult Education, and a Food Pantry, ensuring that immediate needs and long-term goals are met.
