Our Story

Since 1894, Oneida Health has been dedicated to caring for the community, beginning with a treatment room established by the Presbyterian Church for railroad accident victims. Recognizing the growing need for local medical services, a citizen-donated bathhouse became a makeshift hospital in 1896. With the support of Oneida Mayor J. M. Goldstein, a four-bed hospital opened in 1899, followed by the Broad Street Hospital in 1906. Over the decades, Oneida Health has expanded its facilities and services, including the establishment of the Extended Care Facility in 1974, to meet the healthcare needs of the greater Oneida community and Central New York.
