One Nation Walking Together
EIN: 20-0215122 · Colorado Springs, CO
Our Story
One Nation Walking Together began in a garage in the mid-1990s when Elaine and Bill Glynn sought to make a difference. Elaine started sewing clothes for those in need, sending items to Native Americans on the Pine Ridge and Rosebud Reservations in South Dakota. The organization grew as friends and neighbors contributed donations. In 2007, Urban Turzi took over, expanding the capacity to collect and distribute goods, ultimately helping 40,000 individuals annually with $2 million worth of essential goods and services.
Impact
In 2021, One Nation Walking Together provided $1.2 million worth of merchandise to those in need, with 9,147 volunteer hours valued at $1 million, directly supporting Native American communities.
