One Fair World began in 2000 as a vision of passionate individuals eager to introduce a fair-trade store to Salem, Oregon. With no prior retail experience, this dedicated group was inspired by the beauty of international, handcrafted items and the mission to operate a business that uplifts others. After fundraising efforts, they opened a temporary location, moving to a permanent site in June 2002, thanks to the warm support from the Salem community.
