Our Story
Onbikes was founded in 2011 by a group of friends in Tampa, Florida, who organized a community bike ride during the winter holiday season. This event aimed to raise funds for at-risk children to receive their very first bike. What began as a small initiative has blossomed into a powerful movement, connecting the community and fostering generosity. From just 150 riders at the inaugural Winter Wonder Ride, attendance has surged to over 5,000 participants, showcasing the community's commitment to this noble cause.
Our Impact
Since its inception, Onbikes has successfully built and donated over 10,700 bicycles to children, teens, and families in need. Collaborating with generous donors, local officials, and community partners, Onbikes transforms lives by providing bicycles that open doors to new opportunities.
Why Donate?
In Florida, over 23,000 children are in foster care, with Hillsborough County having the highest number. Many of these children lack access to recreational activities and transportation. Your donation can change that. A new bike means freedom, self-confidence, and the chance to participate in school and community activities. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of at-risk youth.
