Our Story
On Lok Senior Health Services began in 1971 with a vision to transform elder care in San Francisco. Recognizing that traditional models were failing to meet the needs of seniors, Dr. William L. Gee and social worker Marie-Louise Ansak created a program that allows older adults to age in their own homes while receiving comprehensive support. This innovative approach led to the establishment of the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE).
Impact on the Community
Today, On Lok serves the San Francisco Bay Area, providing essential healthcare and social services that keep seniors healthy, active, and connected. Programs include On Lok PACE, the On Lok 30th Street Senior Center, and specialized services for LGBTQ seniors.
