Our Story

Founded on September 15, 2008, Omega Lamplighters Inc. emerged from the vision of Royle King II in Tallahassee, Florida. Inspired by his own experiences in mentoring programs during high school, King II sought to create a transformative initiative that would not only guide young African American males but also incorporate fun and engaging activities. The program began with a pilot group of 12 young men from various high schools in the Big Bend area, laying the groundwork for what would become a beacon of hope and leadership.

Impact

For over a decade, Omega Lamplighters has prepared countless young men to conquer the world and become their best selves. The motto, "Remember, you are the light!" encapsulates the essence of the program, instilling confidence and resilience in its participants.
