In 2013, OATS launched its first Senior Planet center in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood, a groundbreaking initiative that redefined how older adults engage with technology. By employing a design thinking approach, OATS ensured that the center was not only accessible but also a vibrant hub for seniors to explore the digital world. The center quickly became a beacon of hope, attracting over 15,000 visitors in its first year alone.

Senior Planet is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, offering mobile device training, internet access, and collaborative learning opportunities. The center features public access computer stations, communal project work tables, and cozy areas designed to make seniors feel at home. Since the opening of the first center, OATS has expanded its reach, establishing additional Senior Planet centers in New York State and Denver, Colorado.
