The Old Mutt Hut was founded in 2014 by animal lovers Debra Plotkin and Sharon Peters, who were deeply moved by the plight of elderly dogs abandoned by their families. They envisioned a sanctuary where these dogs could live freely, without the confines of crates or kennels, under the care of dedicated caregivers. After Debra's passing, her husband Terry and Sharon committed to making this dream a reality, establishing a loving home for senior dogs in need.
Today, The Old Mutt Hut provides love, comfort, and medical care to a dozen deserving senior dogs, ensuring they can live out their final days in a nurturing environment.
