Our Story

In October 2015, the local school district announced the potential closure of Old Mission Peninsula School due to financial challenges. Concerned parents and community members rallied together, forming a focus group to explore solutions. An anonymous donor stepped forward with an incredible offer of $800,000, which led to the establishment of the Old Mission Peninsula Education Foundation in September 2016. The foundation's mission is to enhance educational opportunities on Old Mission Peninsula, successfully securing the school building and reopening it in September 2018.

Impact

OMPEF has raised over $1,100,000 to purchase the campus, ensuring a permanent home for Old Mission Peninsula School. Additionally, over $900,000 has been allocated to support operating costs, curriculum, and equipment, along with $45,000 for essential campus upgrades.
