Our Story

The Olathe Civic Theatre Association (OCTA) has been a cornerstone of the Olathe community since 1974, originally starting as the Olathe Community Theatre Association. With a modest grant from the Olathe Parks & Recreation Department, OCTA has transformed from producing shows at various locations to owning the Buddy Rogers Family Playhouse since 1977. Over the years, the theatre has evolved through renovations, becoming one of the most progressive community theaters in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
