Our Story
Founded in 1977, the Oklahoma Youth Orchestras was born from a passion for providing music opportunities to young Oklahomans. Over the years, the organization has expanded its reach, adding new ensembles, commissioning original works, and inviting guest artists to share their talents. Today, OKYO serves over 400 students annually, many of whom are second-generation musicians. Alumni have gone on to become music educators, performers, and conductors, continuing the legacy of musical excellence.
