Our Story

The Oklahoma Mothers’ Milk Bank (OMMB) was established in 2011 to meet the critical need for donor milk in Oklahoma. Prior to its inception, mothers were shipping their milk to banks in Texas. Since processing began in August 2013, OMMB has become a vital resource for hospitals, especially for NICU infants who require human milk for their health and development.

Impact

OMMB supplies pasteurized donor milk primarily to hospitals in Oklahoma, addressing the critical shortage of human milk for preterm and ill infants. Thousands of ounces of milk donations from local mothers have significantly improved health outcomes for vulnerable babies in the region.
