Our Story
In the early 20th century, a visionary couple established Ojai Valley School, inspired by the educational reform ideas of Edward Yeomans. With a commitment to experiential learning, Yeomans sought to create an environment where children could thrive through hands-on experiences in nature, arts, and academics. This philosophy has transformed OVS from a humble one-room classroom serving 12 students into a vibrant two-campus institution catering to nearly 300 students from pre-kindergarten to 12th grade. The spirit of Yeomans’ vision continues to guide the school, fostering a love for learning and the outdoors.
