In May 2005, a dedicated group of individuals recognized the urgent need for accessible health care in our community. This led to the establishment of the Ohio Valley Health Center, which opened its doors on March 13, 2006. Since then, OVHC has been committed to serving the medically uninsured and underinsured individuals in the Ohio Valley, providing essential health care services and joining the Ohio Association of Free Clinics to enhance its outreach.
Since its inception, OVHC has facilitated over 24,000 patient encounters, offering not only free medical care but also free medications, medical supplies, and specialty referrals. The center strives to ensure that those who need it most have access to high-quality health care.
