Our Story

Founded in 2013 in Columbus, Ohio, Ohio Construction Academy (OCA) addresses the critical shortage of skilled workers in construction, electric, and carpentry. Established by Barton Hacker, OCA provides urban students with opportunities to earn industry credentials while receiving a quality education. Starting with just 25 students, OCA has significantly expanded its reach and impact.

Impact

Since its inception, OCA has tripled its enrollment and achieved a designation as a High Performing Community School. The academy successfully places graduates in construction and electric jobs, demonstrating its effectiveness in workforce development.
