Our Story
The Ohio Biological Survey has been dedicated to understanding and preserving Ohio's rich biodiversity since 1912. Founded by Dr. Herbert Osborn, this organization has produced over 170 publications that provide critical insights into the occurrence, distribution, and ecology of Ohio's flora and fauna. Evolving into an independent non-profit corporation in 2002, the Survey actively engages the public through citizen science projects and a small grants program, fostering a community of informed and passionate environmental stewards.
