Established in 2005, the Ohio Alliance of Direct Support Professionals (OADSP) was formed to tackle the critical need for a stable and well-trained workforce for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Over the years, OADSP has transformed from a coalition of stakeholders into a recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to training, certifying, and supporting Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
OADSP has successfully implemented a credentialing program and various training initiatives that have elevated the professional respect for DSPs, leading to a more stable workforce in the I/DD sector.
