Octorara Area Food Cupboard

Our Story

The Octorara Area Food Cupboard began as a mobile food pantry in 2005, serving 65 individuals with 1,500 lbs. of food. As the need for food assistance grew, it transitioned to a permanent location in 2012, now serving over 1,100 people. This organization is entirely volunteer-driven and collaborates with local churches, businesses, and the Chester County Food Bank to provide essential food support to the community.

Impact

Since its inception, the Octorara Area Food Cupboard has expanded its reach, demonstrating a significant impact on food insecurity by serving over 1,100 individuals and distributing more than 20,000 pounds of food monthly.
