Our Story

Options for Community Living, Inc. was established in 1982 to address the urgent need for housing for individuals with serious mental illness. Since opening its first community residence in 1984, Options has expanded its services to provide a continuum of supportive housing opportunities across Long Island. The organization is dedicated to helping program participants and their families achieve stability, improved health, and the skills necessary to lead productive, self-sufficient lives.

Impact

Each year, Options serves over 2,000 adults and children, managing more than 160 residential properties. This commitment helps prevent homelessness and enhances housing retention for vulnerable populations.
