Options for Community Living, Inc.

Our Story

Options for Community Living, Inc. was established in 1982 to address the urgent need for housing for individuals with serious mental illness. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services to include supportive housing and case management for those living with HIV/AIDS and other chronic health conditions. Operating on Long Island, Options provides a continuum of supportive housing opportunities and care coordination services to help individuals achieve stability and independence.

Impact

Each year, Options serves over 2,000 adults and children, managing more than 160 residential properties across Long Island. The organization plays a crucial role in preventing homelessness and improving housing retention for vulnerable populations, including those recovering from mental illness and living with chronic health conditions.
