Our Story

Oceti Sakowin Community Academy was established to provide a culturally responsive educational environment for Indigenous students in the Mni Luzahan (Rapid City) area. This academy integrates Lakota language, culture, thought, and philosophy into education, addressing the historical failures of American education systems towards Indigenous communities.
