Oasis for Youth

Our Story

Oasis for Youth was founded by dedicated community members as a grassroots response to the increasing number of suburban youth facing homelessness. Established in July 2010 with the support of Oak Grove Presbyterian Church, this all-volunteer initiative has become a beacon of hope for at-risk youth in Bloomington, Richfield, and Edina. By collaborating with local schools and mobilizing community resources, Oasis for Youth connects vulnerable young people to essential services and support.

Impact

Since its inception, Oasis for Youth has seen remarkable growth, with Resource Center visits skyrocketing from just 90 in the first year to 1,462 in 2014. As the demand for services increased, Oasis expanded its offerings, adding professional staff and intensive support programs while maintaining a strong base of community volunteers who play a vital role in daily operations.
