In Spring 2006, the vision for Oaks Counseling emerged during a conference in Europe, where the need for a safe space for missionaries to process their experiences became evident. Inspired by Isaiah 61 and the concept of the 'Oaks of Righteousness', the mission began to take shape. After months of prayer and planning, Oaks Counseling, Inc. was officially incorporated in Texas in July 2009, dedicated to supporting missionaries and cross-cultural workers.
