Our Story

The New York State Association of World Language Administrators, known as NYSAWLA, was established in 2018 to meet the professional needs of world language program leaders throughout New York State. Evolving from the Foreign Language Association of Chairpersons and Supervisors, NYSAWLA addresses the increasing demands of language education.

Our Impact

NYSAWLA supports school districts by providing access to uniform, standards-based assessments that fulfill the New York State LOTE requirement for an Advanced Regents Diploma.
