NY Bee Wellness originated from a USDA NIFA Beginning Farmers and Ranchers Development grant for the Empire State Honey Producers Association. Initiated by Project Director Pat Bono, this program supports new beekeepers entering the challenging vocation of beekeeping.
NY Bee Wellness conducts intensive workshops, provides educational materials, and surveys beekeepers to monitor disease incidence and bee survival. The organization also maintains an educational website and publishes a quarterly newsletter.
