Our Story

Founded by Elizabeth Woodbury, known as Libby, NWI Parkinson’s Inc. emerged from a personal journey with Parkinson’s Disease. After her diagnosis in 2004, Libby recognized the urgent need for a dedicated organization to support individuals and families affected by this condition. In 2005, she initiated annual fundraising Style Shows, which laid the groundwork for what would become a vital community resource.

Impact

Since its official designation as a 501(c)(3) in 2012, NWI Parkinson’s has grown significantly, now serving over 2,000 individuals annually through a variety of free services.
