Foodnet Meals on Wheels was established in 1967 by a dedicated group of local church women to provide hot meals to shut-ins. Since becoming an independent nonprofit in 1987, Foodnet has focused on delivering both congregate and home-delivered meals, promoting independent living for older adults in Tompkins County.
In 2023, Foodnet delivered an impressive 139,960 meals to 1,155 clients, while also providing 638 nutrition presentations, significantly enhancing the health and well-being of older adults in the community.
