Our Story

Founded in 2003 by Dr. Kwon, Nutrition & Education International (NEI) emerged from a profound commitment to combat malnutrition in Afghanistan. After witnessing the dire need for nutritional support during a lecture at Balkh University, Dr. Kwon dedicated his expertise in food biochemistry to develop sustainable solutions. NEI focuses on promoting soybean cultivation, empowering local farmers, and providing essential food aid to vulnerable communities.

Impact

NEI has successfully delivered emergency food aid to over 3,000 internally displaced families, ensuring access to high-protein food packages and firewood. With training provided to more than 125,000 farmers, 80% have adopted soybean farming, significantly reducing malnutrition in the region.

Why Donate?

Your contributions to NEI support practical solutions to malnutrition, empower women through skill development, and provide essential food aid to families in need. Donations help establish a self-sustainable soy value chain that directly impacts health and livelihoods.
