Our Story

In 1973, the residents of the Town of Greenburgh voted to allocate funds for the purchase of the Hall Estate, marking the beginning of a dedicated effort to protect wildlife. Officially established in 1975, the Greenburgh Nature Center has evolved into a 33-acre nonprofit nature preserve, featuring trails, a vernal pond, a Native Plant Meadow, a Native American Replica Village, a Barnyard, and an Organic Garden. This sanctuary not only serves as a refuge for wildlife but also fosters a deep appreciation and understanding of nature through active educational programs.
