Nueva Vida was founded in 1999 to address the pressing needs of the underserved Latino community impacted by cancer in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to informing, supporting, and empowering Latino families affected by cancer, ensuring they have access to state-of-the-art cancer care.

Impact on the Community

In 2022, Nueva Vida launched De Madres a Hijas, an educational workshop in collaboration with Bright Pink, aimed at teaching daughters of Latina breast cancer survivors about hereditary risks and healthy prevention behaviors. This initiative is a vital resource for the under-resourced Latina community.
