Nuestra Casa de East Palo Alto

Our Story

Nuestra Casa de East Palo Alto began in 2002 as a grassroots initiative to support the growing Latino community. With programs like the Parent Academy and English Language Program, Nuestra Casa has expanded its reach to Belle Haven, North Fair Oaks, and Redwood City. The organization believes in the power of community members to create solutions to their challenges, fostering safe spaces for dialogue and action.

Impact

In FY 2024, Nuestra Casa made significant strides in community support, providing an average of 1,800 grocery kits and rescuing over 4,400 pounds of edible food each month. Through workshops and events, 989 residents were informed about critical issues, while over 2,500 community members received assistance connecting to essential services. Additionally, more than 300 individuals were helped in applying for vital safety net resources.
