Northwest Wisconsin Area Health Education Center (NWAHEC) is dedicated to increasing access to health care in 11 counties of northwest Wisconsin. Established in response to a critical shortage of primary care physicians, NWAHEC works to improve the distribution and diversity of health care providers in medically underserved areas.
NWAHEC enhances health care access by connecting students to careers in health care and addressing shortages in Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSA).
