Our Story
Northwest Ohio CASA began in 1991 as a court-based program known as Henry County CASA. Transitioning to an independent nonprofit in 1996, the organization expanded its reach to Defiance and Williams Counties in 2017 and Paulding County in 2020. The mission is clear: every child victimized by abuse and neglect deserves a dedicated volunteer advocate.
Impact
With the support of a CASA volunteer, children are more likely to find safe, permanent homes, be adopted, and avoid long-term foster care. The presence of a CASA advocate significantly reduces the likelihood of re-entering the foster care system.
