About Housing North

In the 1990s, a coalition of organizations, including Habitat for Humanity and Goodwill, recognized the urgent need to address the housing crisis in Northwest Michigan. This collaboration led to the formation of the Housing Solutions Network, which aimed to tackle the systemic barriers preventing affordable housing. In 2018, with the support of Rotary Charities of Traverse City and the Frey Foundation, Housing North was established to focus on overcoming these challenges.
