Our Story
In late 2007, a formal request from the 26th District Attorney’s Office, along with community collaborators, led to the establishment of the Northwest Louisiana Family Justice Center. This center was created to provide centralized services to victims of domestic violence in Northwest Louisiana. With the generous donation of office space from Willis Knighton Health Systems and ongoing community partnerships, the vision became a reality. Support from the National Family Justice Center in San Diego, along with funding from the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA Grant), enabled the center to open its doors in early 2016.
