Our Story

Founded in 1988 by June Taylor-Dixon, Northwest Dance Theatre is a celebrated non-profit youth ballet company in Greater Portland. Comprising pre-professional ballet students from June Taylor’s School of Dance and other local dance schools, NWDT offers young dancers invaluable performance experience and opportunities to work with prestigious choreographers. The company’s repertoire includes classical ballets and innovative contemporary works, showcasing the talent and dedication of its dancers.
