Our Story

Founded in 1979, Northwest Communities Education Center launched Radio KDNA, a Spanish language public radio station in Yakima Valley, Eastern Washington. Governed by a minority Board of Directors, KDNA serves as a vital resource for the local Hispanic/Latino community, fostering engagement in health, education, and civic participation.

Impact

Radio KDNA addresses the cultural and informational isolation faced by Hispanic/Latino and disadvantaged communities. By producing quality programming, KDNA helps listeners overcome barriers related to literacy, language, discrimination, poverty, and illness.
