Our Story

Northern Santa Barbara County United Way is dedicated to building a stronger community by providing opportunities for individuals to improve their lives. Through initiatives like LITERACY 2.O™, a collaborative effort aimed at fostering a goal-setting mindset among school-aged youth, NSBCUW addresses pressing community issues with the help of various partners.

Impact

NSBCUW has successfully housed over 2,630 individuals experiencing homelessness and supported 17 AmeriCorps members. Additionally, the organization has filed over 20,000 tax returns for low and moderate-income families through the VITA / MyFreeTaxes.org program, and mailed over 60,000 books through the Imagination Library initiative.
