Voices for Children, a dedicated advocacy group, identified a critical need for childcare and educational services in the Northern Black Hills. This led to the formation of the Northern Hills Alliance for Children Board of Directors, which successfully opened the First Step Child Care Center in March 2011.
Since 2011, 500 children have been served, ensuring they enter Kindergarten well-prepared for success.
