About Northern California Sled Dog Rescue

Founded in 1998, Northern California Sled Dog Rescue (NorSled) is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, fostering, and placing unwanted Northern breed dogs, including Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, and Samoyeds. Operating across Northern California and Reno, Nevada, NorSled has successfully placed over 3,500 dogs in loving homes.

NorSled has placed around 3,000 dogs, averaging 150-200 dogs a year, including those with severe medical issues that other shelters cannot adopt out. This commitment saves many lives and provides these dogs with a second chance.
