Our Story

Founded in 1990 by a dedicated coalition of Butte County residents, the Northern California Regional Land Trust emerged from a shared concern for the rapid development encroaching on the region's wild spaces. Originally known as the Parks and Preserves Foundation, this grassroots organization has been at the forefront of preserving scenic open spaces and vital habitat resources in Butte County.
