In July 1977, a visionary group of community citizens founded the Northeastern Center, starting with a modest budget and a small team. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services to include inpatient care, residential homes, and outpatient offices across multiple counties. Today, with over 200 dedicated staff members, the Northeastern Center offers a comprehensive range of services to individuals facing serious mental illness, children and adolescents with emotional disturbances, and those struggling with substance abuse.
