Founded in 1997, the Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association (NEMAA) emerged from the success of the Art-A-Whirl open studio tour, which began in 1995. With over 1,600 members, NEMAA fosters a vibrant arts community by promoting year-round open studio events in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District, connecting artists with the public.
