Our Story

The Northeast Independent Living Program (NILP) is a peer-run Center for Independent Living dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities. Founded in the early 1970s, NILP is part of a national movement that promotes independence through advocacy, peer support, and skills training.

Impact

Last year, NILP served over 12,000 individuals with disabilities in Massachusetts, assisting them in transitioning from institutional settings back to community living. This support enables individuals to thrive in their chosen environments.
